Site Back to Normal and a Gallery Update

Ghost Rider small sketchAs of yesterday, jmdesantis.com is working to full capacity (after about a week of having problems due to issues on its hosting end). That means I was finally able to update the Miscellaneous Illustration gallery, as I’d planned to do last week. The update is somewhat small compared to many of the others that have been happening over the past few weeks. Even so, there are some great pieces there that I’ve been waiting to share on this site.

First are a few coloured, small superhero and comic book character pieces (like those seen in the Fantasy and Horror Illustration sections). Also included was the original version of an illustration I was recently commissioned to produce for a poetry collection by Dr. Tammy Brown. This particular illustration was created for her poem, My Flowerbed, however the collection has yet to be published (as far as I know). Once I have information on that, I’ll be sure to post about it (as always).

With that, almost all of my art galleries are updated. The only one left now is the sketches section, which, likely, I’ll turn my attention to next month. Again, I’m really liking the new, larger thumbnails, and I’m happy I finally got a chance to post some of the new art I’ve been creating (and to get rid of a few old pieces that, while good, don’t represent the best of what I can do anymore).

On a final note, if you live in the area and haven’t gotten the chance yet, you should head over to the Art Garage in Montclair, New Jersey for the Pet-icular Poses group art show. It includes four pieces by me and ends this Sunday (June 30th). For more information on the Art Garage and this and other upcoming shows, visit studiokidsart.com. That’s all I’ve got for now. Until next time…
