Server Errors Galore

500_server_error

If you’ve visited this site (jmdesantis.com) or chadhiyana.com in the past week, you may have noticed they’ve been down twice due to server errors. The first time was late Wednesday into Thursday last week. Then just yesterday the sites went down again in the morning. It seems to be a recent issue with the software I’ve been using on jmdesantis.com this past year and on chadhiyana.com since its launch. Why this is happening after a year of things running smoothly with said software, I haven’t the faintest idea.

I would have passed over the error in silence if it weren’t that it’s happened twice in only a week’s time. So, lest it happens again and people suspect these sites are gone or falling apart (as it were), I wanted to address it, even briefly.

I believe I know what the problem is (as does my hosting provider) so chances are it shouldn’t occur for a third time. However, on the off chance it does, please be aware that it’s a glitch I’m working to correct. I haven’t disappeared and I haven’t packed up and quit. Just check back or, better yet, follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ so that you can get information even if these sites go down (for any reason).

Again, this may be a moot point. I’m hoping it’s solved and it won’t happen again. My apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused. I hope you’re all reading Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows and enjoying it–that is, providing there isn’t a server error as you’re reading this.

Perish the thought.
