2016 Convention Appearances Begin in One Month

J. M. DeSantis Event Annoucement

Last year, I had a very successful run of conventions. It was the first year in seven years of exhibiting that I success, and more, each convention I appeared at went better than the previous one. This year, I’m hoping to top last year, and it all begins with next month’s East Coast ComiCon (that is, if you don’t count January’s Black Comic Book Festival, where I appeared with Rosarium Publishing).

This is the second year I’ll be appearing at the East Coast ComicCon, which in turn, is the second year the show is running under this name–it was formerly the Asbury Park Comic Con (which I hear was a wonderful show, though I never exhibited there). And of all the shows I’ve added to my list over the years, this one is the most convenient, as the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey is a mere twenty minutes from where I live. And what with free parking for both exhibitors and attendees, it’s hard not to say yes to this show.

That said, there are discounts for early ticket purchases, so if you’re thinking about attending the show (on April 16th and 17th, Saturday and Sunday), take a look at their website and consider purchasing your tickets in advance. Or, if you don’t know about the show at all, you can read up about it: eastcoastcomicon.com.

Other than East Coast ComiCon, there are a number of shows already confirmed, a couple planned though not yet confirmed, and the possibility (always) of adding more. I’m planning to appear again at the White Plains Comic Con in June and New York Comic Con in October (still awaiting confirmation on these). My confirmed shows at this point are the Garden State Comic Fest in July, the Boston Comic Con in August, and I’ll be returning again this year to the Baltimore Comic-Con in September.

Though, you don’t have to wait for announcements in my blog. I keep an up-to-date listing of convention and other appearances on my Events Page (jmdesantis.com/events/). As more are confirmed or added, they will appear almost immediately on that page.

Of course, as I ask every year, if you have a show suggestion, please pass it along. I’m always interesting in visiting new cities, meeting new people and try out what other shows the convention scene has to offer. Mostly, I hope to see many (if not all) of you on the road this year. So if you’re attending a show where I’m exhibiting, don’t be afraid to drop by and say hello.

Cheers!
