It was admittedly a mixed experience at the White Plains Comic Fest this past weekend, likely stemming from trying out a new venue for the growing show. But I consider any issues a fluke, as this has always been and still is a great show for me, and I was excited to return this year (after a scheduling conflict last year) and see some old friends and faces. My thanks, as always, to Ray Felix (of Bronx Heroes) and Nancy Silberkleit (of Archie Comics) who are always supportive and follow up with me every year. I’ll be back again in 2019, rest assured.

That said, the short trip and one-day show was just a warm up for the very long drive and two-day show coming up this weekend: the 3 Rivers Comic Con in Pittsburgh, PA.  Read more… ›

Thank You White Plains!

Just a quick thank you to everyone who came out to support the White Plains Comic Con this past Saturday, especially those who bought commissions, prints and copies of Chadhiyana. As I said last year, I really hope this convention continues to grow, as the people in the White Plains area seem to be very supportive of the event and it’s extremely well run. A Convention I Will Definitely Do Again

This past weekend, I exhibited at the White Plains Comic Con for its first of hopefully many years. The convention was organised by Nancy Silberkleit of Archie Comics and had strong support from the City of White Plains. The upper floor of the White Plains Library (where the convention was held) was packed with people for a good portion of the day, and even the mayor of White Plains (Thomas Roach) came down to meet all of the artists and vendors. I have to honestly say, of all the conventions I have been to, this one seemed to have the largest outpouring of support for those who were exhibiting at the show. At least I hope that was everyone’s experience, because my experience was wonderful.  Read more… ›
