Happy Holidays ~ from J. M. DeSantis
Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are all nearly upon us. Then this Holiday shopping madness will come to a screeching halt, and perhaps we can all sit back and enjoy good food and the company of friends and family (or at least try our best to tolerate a few family members we would otherwise steer clear of).
Honestly, I do believe it’s all necessary, even for just a day, to forget the world and its troubles, and try to remember the things which are important to us–especially in a year like this one has been. I know that sounds a bit corny and cliché, but too many of us forget this and why this mindset is important in the first place. It’s not for the benefit of the people in our lives or because someone thought it would sell more cards and merchandise (though these things undoubtedly ring true)–it’s essential to our own inner peace; food for the soul, if you will.
So, whichever holiday you celebrate or another holiday I’m unaware of–or even no holiday at all–I hope this time of year finds you and your loved ones well.
From me to you, Happy Holidays!
