Summer Begins and More Conventions Approach

J. M. DeSantis at the Garden State Comic Fest 2016 in two weeks

The 2015-2016 school year ends for me this week (I teach, you know, besides blogging weekly, working on Chadhiyana, Gentleman Cthulhu and other creative projects), and it’s been a bit hectic. I’m juggling a lot, catching up on some things and getting ready for a summer of working in the studio full-time (it’s nice to have to work only one job for two months out of the year). So, with that, I’m just going to take a brief moment to point out that in about three weeks’ time, I’ll be exhibiting at the Garden State Comic Fest–the first of three or four conventions for the summer.

The show is going to be held for its second year at the Mennen Arena in Morristown, New Jersey on July 9th and 10th (Saturday and Sunday). There are a number of special guests attending the event, including Kevin Eastman (who co-created the Ninja Turtles and edits and publishes Heavy Metal Magazine)–I haven’t spoken to him in years, so I’m hoping to get a chance to see him myself. For more information about the show, visit gardenstatecomicfest.com. Tickets are also on sale on the site, though they recently raised the age limit for children and anyone under 11 years old is free (free parking as well).

After that, there will be a number of other opportunities to see me this summer (and beyond). Just keep checking the Events Page for up-to-date information on where I’ll be and when. Though, I hope to see many of you in a few weeks. As usual, I’ll be posting another reminder the week of the event.

And, whether you’re attending a convention or not, working or not, I hope you all enjoy the start of summer. Cheers!
