Eternal Con 2015 This Weekend
This Saturday and Sunday I will be appearing in Artist Alley at Eternal Con for the first time ever! I’ve heard a lot of great things about this show, so hopefully the long (long) commute to Long Island will be worth it for me. It’s been a great convention season so far, and I’m only halfway through. I’m hoping for yet another successful show–especially with the replenished stock (since I was nearly cleaned out in White Plains) and the brand new items I’ll have on the table this weekend.
On sale will be a number of new pieces I’ve created for new print runs, as well as some old favourites. New to the table will be 4” x 6” prints, an item my friend, Eric Hutchison at Inbeon Studios, mentioned proved popular for him. Interestingly, 4” x 6” convention sketches are my most popular size, so I think it’s going to work out fine.
Also new to this convention are going to be my brand new “Fine Art” convention sketches, based on the promotional images I created for the announcement that Rosarium Publishing will publish Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows (my graphic novel). These sketches are watercoloured, inked (with all different coloured inks) and have all sorts of painterly, abstractions (based on the characters depicted) incorporated into the backgrounds. Having done a number of them in the privacy of my studio, I know that I can get them done in about 2 1/2 hours. (On a side note, some of these “practice pieces” are being offered as new prints.) So, for those willing to pay a premium, I’m going to begin offering this service and see how it goes (also available for sketch covers).
If this sort of commission sounds interesting to you, but you’re not able to make it to Eternal Con, be sure to check the up-to-date list of my convention appearances on the Events & Shows page (conveniently added to the sidebar a few months back). There are still a few more chances to see me in 2015. And who knows? Maybe I’ll add a few more shows to my schedule before the year is out.
See you at Eternal Con!
