Late last week, jmdesantis.com went down for a little over a day due to a problem with the server on which it was being hosted. This left me unable to access the site. As you can see, the site is live again, though there are a number of areas I still cannot access as the issue is continuing to be resolved. That said, this week’s update (an update to the Miscellaneous Illustration gallery) will not be possible. I’m hoping to have full access to the site by next week and so be able to make that happen. In the meanwhile, for what it’s worth, I apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause (especially for those who might have thought I’d disappeared when they visited the site last Thursday). I’ll be back next week, hopefully with full access again.

Also, don’t forget to check out my original artwork on display in the Pet-icular Poses group art show at the Art Garage in Montclair, New Jersey. The show runs until June 30th. For more information, visit studiokidsart.com.

Due to the on-going investigation and manhunt surrounding the tragedy at the Boston Marathon on April 15, the Boston Comic Con has been cancelled for this weekend, and so that means, by association, my appearance there has been cancelled as well. According to the Con’s statement (see below) there seems to be a possibility of rescheduling. I, for one, would be very pleased if they did reschedule. I was looking forward to exhibiting at this show for the first time (having heard so many good things) and returning to the city of Boston for the second time in my life (which I loved the first time I visited).

That said, I hope that the people of Boston remain safe and unharmed whilst the authorities continue to hunt for the suspect who is reportedly still at large. It is also my hope the suspect is found and apprehended as quickly as possible, so as to avoid any more potential harm to the city, the surrounding area or the people therein. For those interested, I have posted the official statement from the Boston Comic Con’s website below. Read more… ›

I know there are some of you who are wondering when the next Chadhiyana book or story is coming. After all, the first Chadhiyana comic is set up as a “glimpse” of the character and her world, and though the responses have generally been favourable, it’s only just enough to whet people’s appetite for my new character.
