I’ve been working overkill this week not only getting caught up on Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, but getting ahead. I wrote about it in detail yesterday on chadhiyana.com, so I won’t go into it at length here. What I will say is that I finished the art for (the previously uncoloured) pages 29 and 30. I also put in the time to complete not only this week’s page 31 but next week’s page as well. So, I’m a little tired, but I’m happy to have finally gotten ahead of schedule (such as I had always wished to do since I first decided to take the graphic novel to the web). It’s been a while since I updated the writing section with new content. Not since early last year when, before my life became consumed with Chadhiyana, I had a few new short stories published in various anthologies from Static Movement and Norgus Press. Anyway, today it’s more Chadhiyana. I’ve been meaning to share the scripts from the first two Chadhiyana stories (A Saviour in the Dark and Chadhiyana and the Serpent—still available in the comic, Chadhiyana, on IndyPlanet.com). For those of you keeping up with my in-progress, on-going, graphic novel web-comic (I haven’t thought up a more concise word or phrase with which to classify the work), you may have noticed a seemingly sudden jump in the amount of pages on chadhiyana.com this week. Currently, I am posting one new page every week, and yet page 10 posted last week whilst page 15 posted yesterday (with 11 through 14 suddenly appearing between). It’s been busy, to say the least, while I continue to work on my graphic novel, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, and with other projects coming in (such as the book cover I alluded to last week). As it is, there’s a lot of new artwork I should be adding to my Art Galleries and perhaps an excerpt from the Prologue of the graphic novel script to add to my Script Writing page. So, for the next few weeks, in between regular blog posts (and some holiday wishes–what with the Holidays coming up and all), I’ll probably be doing a lot of gallery updates again. The day has finally arrived. After a year of developing, plotting, writing, drawing, designing characters and exploring my options for publishing the next chapter in Chadhiyana’s story, the Chadhiyana graphic novel is at last available to read–in a manner of speaking, that is. For those who haven’t been following my blog (or haven’t spoken to me at a convention, either), this new graphic novel, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, started publication yesterday on chadhiyana.com, where it will continue to publish regularly as I finish the book, grow Chadhiyana’s readership and find a publisher for this and other Chadhiyana stories.  Read more… ›

Not to worry folks; the change is a good one. Because one page at the beginning of the book had to be extended to two pages, the Chadhiyana graphic novel web-comic, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, will begin posting on Tuesday, October 1st. That means an earlier release date and an extra page next week. Everything else will remain as it was outlined in yesterday’s post. So make sure you visit chadhiyana.com on Tuesday for the first posting (the cover of the book) and help celebrate the start of a new chapter in Chadhiyana’s story (both literally and figuratively).

The web-comic debut of the Chadhiyana graphic novel, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, is nearly upon us. I know that last week I wrote that I was uncertain about when the web-comic would finally start posting, but I wasn’t yet certain everything would be ready for the date I’d had in mind. I was, however, quite specific that I wanted pages to begin posting before or around the New York Comic Con (October 10-13), where I will be exhibiting this year at booth # 943 (with NovaStar Studios, publisher of Sara Rising). I know it’s been three weeks since there’s been a Chadhiyana update (on account of the Baltimore Comic-Con two weeks ago), but I only have a very brief update for you this week. Progress on the graphic novel has been slow and steady (what else is new?), but there’s still a lot more work to get done before the web-comic version of the graphic novel can officially begin publication.
