This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, and I’ve been invited back to The Spider’s Web in Yonkers, NY to promote and sell my work. So if you’re planning to make any stops for FCBD 2022, be sure to add The Spider’s Web to your list of locations, and drop by to say hello. Also making appearances on Saturday will be Michael Grassia (of Get in Toon!) and Emilio Velez, Jr. (Dodgeball Teens). And this is only the first of a number of growing shows this season on my 2022 convention list!Read more… ›
As I announced some time ago, I was going to be taking a long break from conventions and public appearances in order to focus on creating more work. So far, the creation end has been going well, with two books, a comic, and some new prints already done—and more of all on the way. My planned return to the public eye was going to be in the Fall, but I was surprised and humbled when I was invited to be a part of Barnes & Noble’s local author event (in Princeton, New Jersey) for a Q&A session and a signing for my latest book, and first novel, Robert Phillips.
On 24 August (Saturday) at 6:00 pm, I’ll be speaking about, taking questions, and signing Robert Phillips at Barnes & Noble in Princeton, New Jersey. Read more… ›
The votes are in for my Inktober 2019 theme! However, before I begin, I have to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the fans and staff at the Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend for helping make this yet another successful year. As I said last week, I’ll be cutting down on (and essentially taking off from) conventions for a year or so, unless I’m a guest, such as at the No Such Con in the winter. Yet the response to my work was so warm, I couldn’t help but make an exception for Baltimore. Read more… ›
I’ve been absent a while (at least on this blog), but not gone entirely. There are a few things I’ve had to attend to personally and a number of things developing behind the scenes (which my Patreon supporters had a full update about yesterday). But there’s no time to lose on explanations. Baltimore Comic-Con is nigh (I’ll be there all three days), Inktober lurks around the corner, and NaNoWriMo looms in the distance. Read more… ›
So, 3 Rivers ComiCon was another mixed experience. The crowds were a little thin for what I’m used to (maybe it’s normal for that area), but the guest experience was incredible. Really, I miss the days when all conventions offered perks to the vendors, artists, and other guests, and the folks at 3 Rivers ComiCon did it right! Read more… ›
October is going to be an exciting month. This weekend I’ll be making my eighth (?) consecutive appearance at the New York Comic Con (this Thursday through Sunday) in my usual spot these past three or four years: booth 1259 in Small Press. Plus, I’ll have a special guest with me at the show. But even before that, if you follow me on social media (and if not, follow me now), you’ll know that I’ve decided to participate in Inktober this year (that is, wherein artists post an inked drawing a day through the month of October).
