Yet another New York Comic Con has come and gone (my eighth appearance at the show, in fact!). I got some major feedback and compliments from some of my Chadhiyana fans (who are apparently more passionate about the series than I had previously known). Also, my latest publication, Gentleman Cthulhu: Year One (a collection of the first 52 comics from gentlemancthulhu.com) completely sold out by mid-day Saturday. The only downside was that on Sunday I began experiencing considerable stomach pains (likely my diverticulitis acting up, with which I was diagnosed about this time last year), but I did my best to smile through the pain, and I’m doing okay now after a day’s rest. The 4th annual Black Comic Book Festival is being held this Saturday, January 16th, at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (New York, NY). As the name suggests, it’s a celebration of black comic heroes, heroines and creators. Like most comic events, the BCBF includes panels, workshops, film screenings and exhibitor tables. Amongst the exhibitors will be my publisher (for the Chadhiyana series), Rosarium Publishing, and they’ve asked me to join them for the event! Read more… ›

The New Year has only just begun, and already there are some big things on the horizon. Within just a short period of time, the long-awaited third issue of Chadhiyana is going to be released, and I’ll be making an appearance at another comic book event. So get your calendars out.
