Chadhiyana #4 has already been submitted to the publisher (Rosarium Publishing, that is) and it promises to be an intense, albeit short, issue. As much as I’d love to write more about it at this point, I’ll save that for the official release-date announcement. In the meanwhile, though it’s been available for a little over a month now, Chadhiyana #3 has still been getting some attention and is available on yet another one of Rosarium Publishing’s online distributor sites. If you follow me on social media or subscribe to my mailing list, you are already in the know: Chadhiyana #3 is now available through comiXology (from Rosarium Publishing). With the release date originally projected for today through Tuesday, this was a bit of a surprise. In fact, the book was released two days ago on the site. ComiXology has had a habit of releasing these issues a few days early, and as I’m quickly learning and someone privately quipped to me yesterday, release dates don’t seem to mean much. That’s quite all right with me; this is not a complaint by any means! After all, I’d rather a book come out early than late. Read more… ›
Strange things happen and people die as the witch has appeared to escape. Now, the Tal-Ifatiir order is terrified, and they are starting to blame Chadhiyana for all their supernatural misfortunes. ~ From Rosarium Publishing
Sorry. I know I already posted the above blurb from my publisher when I originally wrote my blog piece on the Chadhiyana #3 release date, but I just really love that quote. I know I’m a little biased, but if this book weren’t my own, that synopsis would certainly get me to buy this issue. That said, for those of you who do not have a NetGalley account, the wait is nearly over to read what the publisher teases above. Chadhiyana #3 will release within the week. Read more… ›

The wait is nearly over. On February 12, Chadhiyana #3 will finally release through a number of digital distributors. However, if you are a NetGalley member and reviewer, you get the chance to read the issue nearly a month early! Read more… ›
This past Saturday’s 4th annual Black Comic Book Festival was quite an event. Not only was it well organised and the people friendly, but it was so well attended that the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture was hardly large enough to hold the thousands who came out for the show. In fact so many attended that there was a line to get in for a good portion of the day. That was just wonderful, as there needs to be this kind of support not only for small publishers and independent creators (what solely made up the show), but specifically black creators and characters in comics. The 4th annual Black Comic Book Festival is being held this Saturday, January 16th, at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (New York, NY). As the name suggests, it’s a celebration of black comic heroes, heroines and creators. Like most comic events, the BCBF includes panels, workshops, film screenings and exhibitor tables. Amongst the exhibitors will be my publisher (for the Chadhiyana series), Rosarium Publishing, and they’ve asked me to join them for the event! Read more… ›
The New Year has only just begun, and already there are some big things on the horizon. Within just a short period of time, the long-awaited third issue of Chadhiyana is going to be released, and I’ll be making an appearance at another comic book event. So get your calendars out. It’s time to start marking down a few important dates. Read more… ›
The end of the year is fast approaching, and typically the last three weeks are planned out for an end-of-year reflection post, a Happy Holidays post, and a Happy New Years post (in that order). So that leaves this week as the last week of the year for any topic I choose, and I haven’t put out any information on the state or release of Chadhiyana #3. I don’t have any official news yet, but I will give you all a bit of something, rather than remaining silent until the first full week in January. Read more… ›
“Keep checking back,” I said. “I’ll be sure to make a post here and on social media once the interview is up,” I said. Well, less than twenty-four hours after I posted that statement, Sequential Tart (sequentialtart.com) ran their interview with me. So here I am doing as I promised in yesterday’s blog post. Today is the last day on which comiXology.com is offering Chadhiyana #1 for free (use the promo code chadpod at checkout: comixology.com/Chadhiyana-1/digital-comic/239164). It’s also the official release date for Chadhiyana #2, even though comiXology listed the comic a full week early as part of the promotion. Both issues have been getting some good reviews, so if you haven’t given my medieval Indian fantasy series a try yet, now is your (last) chance to try issue 1 for free. Read more… ›
