January is drawing to a close, and that means we’re almost one month into the new year. Already, my convention schedule is filling up (jmdesantis.com/events/), but even more than that, in just two short weeks the long awaited Chadhiyana #3 will finally be released (through Rosarium Publishing). But that is only the start of what I’m hoping will be an even bigger year than last year. Read more… ›

Strange things happen and people die as the witch has appeared to escape. Now, the Tal-Ifatiir order is terrified, and they are starting to blame Chadhiyana for all their supernatural horrors. ~ From Rosarium Publishing

The wait is nearly over. On February 12, Chadhiyana #3 will finally release through a number of digital distributors. However, if you are a NetGalley member and reviewer, you get the chance to read the issue nearly a month early! Read more… ›

The New Year has only just begun, and already there are some big things on the horizon. Within just a short period of time, the long-awaited third issue of Chadhiyana is going to be released, and I’ll be making an appearance at another comic book event. So get your calendars out. It’s time to start marking down a few important dates.  Read more… ›

The end of the year is fast approaching, and typically the last three weeks are planned out for an end-of-year reflection post, a Happy Holidays post, and a Happy New Years post (in that order). So that leaves this week as the last week of the year for any topic I choose, and I haven’t put out any information on the state or release of Chadhiyana #3. I don’t have any official news yet, but I will give you all a bit of something, rather than remaining silent until the first full week in January. Read more… ›

“Keep checking back,” I said. “I’ll be sure to make a post here and on social media once the interview is up,” I said. Well, less than twenty-four hours after I posted that statement, Sequential Tart (sequentialtart.com) ran their interview with me. So here I am doing as I promised in yesterday’s blog post. Today is the last day on which comiXology.com is offering Chadhiyana #1 for free (use the promo code chadpod at checkout: comixology.com/Chadhiyana-1/digital-comic/239164). It’s also the official release date for Chadhiyana #2, even though comiXology listed the comic a full week early as part of the promotion. Both issues have been getting some good reviews, so if you haven’t given my medieval Indian fantasy series a try yet, now is your (last) chance to try issue 1 for free. Read more… ›

The Chadhiyana #2 release date is fast approaching–only five days hence–and yet, there’s no reason to wait a minute longer, because comiXology released the book yesterday! But that’s not all! They also gave Chadhiyana another mention in their podcast (The comiXologist), Sequential Tart gave issue 2 a 10/10 review, and I have an forthcoming interview with them. More, comiXology is offering issue 1 for free for a limited time!  Read more… ›

Another year has passed and the New York Comic Con is upon us once more! For the sixth year in a row I will be making an appearance at the show, this time in the exact same spot as last year: Booth 1259 in the Small Press area! Of course, it’s long past time I got back into Artist Alley, but that’s another story. For now, I’m just happy to be participating in such a monumental pop-culture event. Read more… ›

Just a friendly reminder of some important dates coming up in the next month. First, if you haven’t joined the mailing list yet, there’s still time to do so before the first newsletter goes out (either tomorrow or Thursday, the 30th or the 1st, respectively). It’s (I hope) going to be a great way to keep on top of not only this blog, but release dates, developments and other such things related to me and my work (there’s a form to join the mailing list at the bottom of this post). I’m sure there are many of you who have been waiting for this. And what with a two week break from social media and posts about a mailing list at the end of the month, the anticipation has probably been mounting. That said, I do want to prepare some of you for a little disappointment, but I promise you issue 2 is coming and there’s a reason why it won’t be exactly when you (I assume) or I were expecting. Plus, I’m going to give you a preview of the amazing painted cover by yours truly. Read more… ›
