I do love a good portmanteau, so I couldn’t help myself here, but in earnest:
Whether you celebrate Diwali, Halloween, neither, or both, I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Cheers!

New Merchandise and Masks are now available through my growing Redbubble Store!
It’s been a long time since I wrote a proper blog post, having concentrated most of my updates on social media (follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook), and to a lesser extent on Patreon and my mailing list. But in truth I’ve been hard at work getting Chadhiyana ready for her return to publication, working at growing Dark Fire Press and its list of titles, by me and other authors, and putting some work into designs on my fairly new Redbubble Store. If my first year participating in Inktober proved one thing (aside from my confidence drawing with pen), it’s that no matter the obstacles or setbacks, I’ll come through in the end. Despite a slow down around New York Comic Con and getting sick for nearly a week, I completed the entire thirty-one piece challenge by the end of the day on Halloween.
Now, fresh off of Inktober, I’ve jumped into NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), am opening up commissions until January 31, 2018, and catching up on Chadhiyana, Gentleman Cthulhu , plus putting together an Inktober sketchbook and a larger sketchbook (which has been in development since this past summer). But again, like Inktober, rest assured, I’ll catch up, come Hell or high water. Read more… ›
Happy Halloween everyone! If you celebrate the holiday, I hope you’re enjoying it safely. This week I’ll be lying low for the most part, especially because I came down with a stomach bug this morning, but also because not only is Halloween my favourite holiday, but my birthday is just two days following it (which I think I’ve written enough times in this blog). It’s October 25th. Halloween is a little less than a week away, my birthday is a little more than a week away and the first Dark Souls III DLC, Ashes of Ariandel, is available today for all the travelers of Lothric to discover and explore (I’m a huge fan of the SoulsBorne games, if you didn’t know). That said, one can expect I’ll be immersed in otherwise idle occupations for the next week or so, but that’s not to say I won’t be working on at least a few things, here and there. Read more… ›
This is one of the most exciting times of the year for me. October is nearly here, and that’s big deal given Halloween is my favourite holiday and my birthday follows just two days after that. More, the New York Comic Con is just a little over week and a half away at this point, and besides Halloween, it’s the one of the only things I can seem to think about right now. Read more… ›
Despite the most recent Gentleman Cthulhu comic I posted (“Giving Thanks” on gentlemancthulhu.com–which, actually, proved popular when Strange-Aeons Magazine re-posted it on their Facebook page), I don’t have a cynical opinion of Thanksgiving. Certainly, its origins are questionable at best, but the way in which its celebrated today I think can be taken separate from its beginnings. Family and friends get together to enjoy a bountiful home cooked meal (some do go out instead, I know) and enjoy (or tolerate) each other’s company. But that’s what holidays are supposed to be about at their heart, aren’t they? Read more… ›
I’m sure there are many of you who have been waiting for this. And what with a two week break from social media and posts about a mailing list at the end of the month, the anticipation has probably been mounting. That said, I do want to prepare some of you for a little disappointment, but I promise you issue 2 is coming and there’s a reason why it won’t be exactly when you (I assume) or I were expecting. Plus, I’m going to give you a preview of the amazing painted cover by yours truly. Read more… ›
