Thank you to everyone who came out to the East Coast ComiCon this past weekend and showed their support, and especially those who said they’d check out the present IndieGoGo campaign from the publisher of Chadhiyana, Rosarium Publishing: indiegogo.com/projects/rosarium-publishing-the-next-level#/. Just a brief reminder that not only is the Rosarium Publishing IndieGoGo campaign still going strong (indiegogo.com/projects/rosarium-publishing-the-next-level), but also that this weekend I’ll be exhibiting at the East Coast ComiCon for its second year in Secaucus, New Jersey (April 16th & 17th). So begins (officially) my convention season (though I did attend the Black Comic Book Festival in January with Rosarium Publishing) and so continues Rosarium Publishing’s campaign to raise money for printing and promotional costs for books such as the forthcoming first Chadhiyana trade (collecting issues 1 – 6 of the series). Today is a very special day for me and Chadhiyana (my medieval Indian assassin comic). Though this past weekend Japanese gamers saw the release of Dark Souls III, we in the United States will not be getting it until April 12^th. However, with this recent overseas release, an intriguing Dark Souls related article that was recently brought to my attention, and the fact that I finally finished my second play through Bloodborne (just one trophy away from my Platinum–yes, I play slowly, as I don’t have as much time to game as I’d like), I thought it would be a perfect time to write again about my anticipation for the next installment in the only game series in recent years (relatively) which has had a profound impact on me as a creator and storyteller. Chadhiyana #4 has already been submitted to the publisher (Rosarium Publishing, that is) and it promises to be an intense, albeit short, issue. As much as I’d love to write more about it at this point, I’ll save that for the official release-date announcement. In the meanwhile, though it’s been available for a little over a month now, Chadhiyana #3 has still been getting some attention and is available on yet another one of Rosarium Publishing’s online distributor sites.  (Read more…)

Sorry for the change in schedule this week, folks. I had to rearrange a few things to accommodate two Gentleman Cthulhu comics this week (gentlemancthulhu.com). But it also gave me an opportunity to upload a few new designs and products to both my Zazzle and Society6 stores. Again, because of time-constraints, and the newness of this business venture, I’m only using artwork and designs which I have previously created, but this week I’m offering a few new products and two designs which have never been available before, even as prints on my convention tables. Last year, I had a very successful run of conventions. It was the first year in seven years of exhibiting that I success, and more, each convention I appeared at went better than the previous one. This year, I’m hoping to top last year, and it all begins with next month’s East Coast ComiCon (that is, if you don’t count January’s Black Comic Book Festival, where I appeared with Rosarium Publishing). After years of debating with myself about whether or not to take the plunge, I have finally opened an online store for print-on-demand merchandise. My apologies for the lack of blog post last Tuesday, but as Chadhiyana #3 released on the previous Friday (on comiXology, anyway), I wanted that additional blog post to feature prominently for a while. More, I’ve had a ton of work to do on Chadhiyana #4 (which I’m still finishing up). But this week’s blog post isn’t about Chadhiyana (well, not all of it, anyway). If you follow me on social media or subscribe to my mailing list, you are already in the know: Chadhiyana #3 is now available through comiXology (from Rosarium Publishing). With the release date originally projected for today through Tuesday, this was a bit of a surprise. In fact, the book was released two days ago on the site. ComiXology has had a habit of releasing these issues a few days early, and as I’m quickly learning and someone privately quipped to me yesterday, release dates don’t seem to mean much. That’s quite all right with me; this is not a complaint by any means! After all, I’d rather a book come out early than late. (Read more…)
